Day Services Program

Alzheimer’s Day Services of Memphis, Inc. provides a safe, stimulating, and socializing daytime environment for persons with dementia in an effort to maintain their level of functioning while providing respite, education, encouragement and support to their caregivers and families. The needs of this individual “Friend” form the core of the plan of care developed for each person. The intensity of care revolves around the participant’s needs and addresses the services that allow the person to function at the highest level of his/her ability.

ADS has two Centers:

Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm.

Our program accepts “Friends” who have been diagnosed as having Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder causing irreversible dementia. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of irreversible dementia, but services are also available to the victims of dementia as a result of:

  • Multi-infarct dementia
  • Stroke
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Brain injury
  • Drug or alcohol abuse
  • Other causes certified by a physician’s statement
